"As the Entertainment Director for the Nevada County Fair, I receive hundreds of applications or requests from bands that are interested in playing. I was so excited when “Cherry Bomb - A Tribute to John Mellencamp” applied to perform at the fair. I am always looking for a “crowd pleasing”, professional band that can get our fair goers up and dancing. To say the least -Cherry Bomb delivered with not only a fun, high energy performance, but the lead singer sounded and even looked like John Mellencamp himself. "I never saw John Mellencamp live, but seeing Cherry Bomb more than made up for it. They are literally a tough act to follow. Highly skilled musicians, perfect guitar and keyboard tones, vocals absolutely nailed, and no backing tracks; just 100% authentic tribute rock. I had a great time listening and watching the packed floor dance and sing along. It doesn't get any better."

"What can I say? This band is phenomenal! If you are a John Mellencamp fan then this is your band. Casey the lead singer is spot on and has charisma like you would not believe. I have personally enjoyed this band at Carmichael Park and several other venues. When I see their schedule my husband and I (who is a musician) always try and make their shows. Their performances are always filled with fun, and great music, and they manage to get everyone up and dancing. Always a party atmosphere at their shows, with beach balls flying at last year’s summer concert at Carmichael Park. If you have a chance, don’t miss out on this band, you won’t be sorry."
